Ptfe is also commonly referred by their tradename/brands, teflon, xylan, etc. These fluoro poly makes excellent choice for agressive environment. Ptfe or teflon coated fasteners are widely used in onshore and offshore engineering applications.

PTFE Coating Process:

• Object subjected to PTFE coating is heated to clean and remove excess foreign particles in form of dirt, oil and other stains, which can affect the adhesion of the coating. The substrate is then sand blasted to increase the adhesion of the coating. Then the primer layer is applied, in this case, we use zinc base coat of 20 microns followed by top coat of PTFE. PTFE coating is available in black, blue, green, red, white, yellow, orange, purple, etc.
